Woo! Nice one :)
I was reading some Dredd for the first time in ages today. Still bloody good stuff in parts.

Dredd's good.
Blade is better.
The best writing, though... HAS to be the Dark Knight series from the 80's.

I do.
The best thing to come out of that stable though was Crisis. Fucking awesome.

Agreed.
Thats why Tim Burton's movie adaptions were half decent compared to the later ones as he took some inspiration from the Dark Knight series.

That's because Burton is dark...
And also because Joel Silver is a fag.

Yup, and Year One.
Infact, anything by Frank Miller rocks.
Chris Claremont did great things on the x-men, but it's harder when you've got to work all year for a number of years to keep the standard up.
Louise Simonsen has done some great writing for both Marvel and DC, and thanks to Bovine, I'm now appreciating Mike Mignola's stuff on Hellboy alot too.

Ohhhh...
Hellboy! Good comic! I'm not very familiar with actual writer names.. I just know what I like and I don't.

RON PERLMAN????
Ron FUCKING Perlman?????????
Alls I can say is I HOPE it's animated. For live action, I'd go with Vin Diesel.

I dunno
Ron Perlman is at least an actor. He does look a bit odd in the makeup though...
