# Only Eight o' Clock Over Here...
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 3:58, archived)
# Ahahahahaha!
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:00, archived)
# It makes me laugh
when somebody says "I would" in response to a picture of an attractive woman.

Of course they would - they are internet geeks who have probably never seen woman naked in real life before. They are horny and desperate and would happily go to bed with anyone who was prepared to sleep with them.

Saying "I would" is kind of redundant really.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:01, archived)
# Yup
That's funnier than back when it used to mainly just get said to disgusting looking things people posted.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:03, archived)
# That
made me laugh when that happened.

Then somewhere along the line, b3ta turned into a leching shop for hormone riddled teenagers.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:05, archived)
# I would
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:18, archived)
# Hey!
I'm a hormone riddled TWENTYSOMETHING thank you very much!
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 5:52, archived)
# see that never used to bother me
top pic, I've been meaning to do something similar for months :)
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:46, archived)
# Its
normally done in jest though isn't it? Or does that only count if you are Sunshine Elephant? Im sure most people are being sarcastic. Its like with "That's no moon!" You dont expect people to turn around and say "Well no shit Sherlcock". Although I am worried by the number of people that request source pics when soft porn has been used in a photoshop. As if there isnt enough out there already.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:05, archived)
# When somebody says it
in response to a picture of a gorilla in a bikini, it's funny.

When it is a picture of a female boarder, I just think its a bit.. well... erm...

It just makes me uncomfortable.

(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:08, archived)
# I would agree with you there.
Maybe people should be educated in the ways of board etiquette. Either through the use of of a section in the FAQ or by another means like a member created site. Incedentally, does anyone know what happened to that b3ta help site lemony was working on?
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:10, archived)
# I believe that that kind of stuff
is what made Kitty Meow Meow leave for a while

/lurk
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:15, archived)
# Yup
I saw her around here again not long ago, it was nice to see her posting again.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:18, archived)
# People
get that offended/annoyed by it? Maybe someone should definately consider making people more aware of board etiquette. I would like to make it clear that I really mean 'make aware' and 'etiquette' not 'enforce' and 'rules'. I would also like to say I have never ever participated in saying I would to any picture ever.

This message has been a Nimble Colin production. Avoiding lechery since 1984.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:18, archived)
# It's been said
but all the freaks don't care. They just like having extra wanking materieal.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:20, archived)
# some do yes
It would be as if you went to a bar and every drunk guy in the place was walking up to a girl and saying "I'm desperate, lets go have sex."
Some girls encourage it, some ignore it, and some just leave the bar altogether.
We must encourage a less sexually charged atmosphere around here.

In my personal opinion, there need to be more rules about how to act on here. People come on the internet and think that because they are using a keyboard to interact with people, no normal societal "rules" apply, and that should be corrected/endorsed by b3ta.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:26, archived)
# i think it's nice when people really don't worry
about what gender people are on the board
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:35, archived)
#
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:36, archived)
# I
dont judge on gender, although there is one person who I have always been unable to figure out whether they are a guy or not but I have forgotten their name.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:38, archived)
# Some people
don't worry about what gender you are in real life ;)
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:43, archived)
# i like that too
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:46, archived)
# I just think it's bang out of order
If people want porn or something, then they should just go and look for it, i mean, it's not exactly hard to find on the web.
I can remember when lots of people were drooling over Laini and just being really pervy towards her.
It was fucking awful, and almost painful to see.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:16, archived)
# Ive
never heard of her, I assume she left a while back.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:19, archived)
# Worse
she started going out with Reverend Dan ;)
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:22, archived)
# Fuck me....it got that bad?
Actually I have no idea what Reverend Dan is like but I remember him as being a fluffy enough sort of chap.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:24, archived)
# He he he
Dan is a nice guy - I've never met Liani though.

I think they are pretty happy though and that warms the cockles of my heart.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:29, archived)
# Aaaah...
I love a happy ending. Do you know of many relationships starting on b3ta? I have read the entire history of Mother-to-be-Inferior and her husband and heard rumours of others but nothing that has been confirmed.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:33, archived)
# There are the lovely
Jiva and Munkt0n, for one
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:35, archived)
# Ask me again
this time next week.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:37, archived)
# *grope*
*runs away*
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:38, archived)
# Hehehe
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:40, archived)
# Oi!
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:41, archived)
# what is this "oi!"?
don't use your funny foriegn words on me
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:42, archived)
# It's not really a word
more the kind of sound you make when somebody gropes you, then runs away.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:44, archived)
# Will do.
Im setting a reminder on my phone right now. You'd better be here.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:39, archived)
# Well
if I am on b3ta, it might not be a good sign.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:40, archived)
# What have I missed?
It seems like there is some big thing the everyone knows about but me....
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:43, archived)
# There is no big conspiracy or anything
and I doubt anybody else knows very much.

I am expecting a visitor from California next week though.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:46, archived)
# I get the feeling that this visitor
is one who likes to grope and run away

(edit - though, after all, who doesn't)
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:48, archived)
# ; )
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:49, archived)
# grapes
and runs asquildo?
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:58, archived)
#
I'm sure I wouldn't know
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 5:00, archived)
# Hahaha.
I'll save my question then although I'll be looking out for you.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:44, archived)
# lots of relationships have started on b3ta
interestingly, very few of them have started with "so are you a girl then?" "i would!" or "show us yer norks"
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:57, archived)
# Haha.
You do surprise me. I am amazed at the social ineptitude that some people hint at by their behaviour on here. On a related note, I would love to meet some of my fellow b3tans but I'm not aware of any bashes taking place either in Birmingham (where im from) or near enough to Huddersfield (where im at uni).
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 5:00, archived)
# b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-Birmingham!

sorry, i just wanted to say that for a while
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 5:01, archived)
# No, be my guest.
In fact, if we all say it together, maybe we can wake up the housemate who stole my edam.

Im really not going to get over this in a hurry you know.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 5:04, archived)
# *giggle*
"cockles"
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:34, archived)
# although it speaks volumes
about some of the females who post their pictures on here, with the intention of getting said remarks. The males are mostly to blame, but some of the blame falls on a handful of women.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:21, archived)
# To
be fair some people dont complain. Funtastic Pony Magic in particular seems to take it all in good humour.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:23, archived)
# she doesn't really "ask" for it
but she could do a lot more to discourage it.

and that's all I'll say about that
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:27, archived)
# I think
there are people of both sexes who like to get as much attention as they can, but just because the oppurtunity is there for you to lech it doesn't make it OK.

People should just know better.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:25, archived)
# You'll get no argument from me on that
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:29, archived)
# That's a fair point.
and what bob just said above me.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:25, archived)
#
"But Your Honour... in my defense... she was obviously gagging for it... look at how she was dressed..."

(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:26, archived)
# An even better point
I wasn't agreeing that the few made it alright, more that because of the few people who do seem to enjoy, it'd make a lot of idots out there think it's an acceptable thing to do on the board.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:29, archived)
# He he he
I think I prefer it when people aren't too sure about the sex of other people.

Like when everybody seems shocked when they find out Eclectech is a girl.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:31, archived)
# I never thought it made much of a difference
what sex you were here, as long as you had hummus. But perhaps those times are long ago and far away.
/reminisces
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:33, archived)
# I don't think it does matter to most people
but I think, with regards to Bob's point, is that a lot of people assuming posters here to be your stereotypical male nerd/geek, so if there's a name that's non gender specific, they automatically assume it's a bloke, without even thinking about it.
For me, gender doesn't matter, as I'm sure it doesn't for lots of others around here.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:38, archived)
# I
feel like such a fool but I honestly didnt know. i had visited her website and it seemed to suggest to me that there were several people posting here under one name. I always avoided asking & causing offense. I like eclectech mostly becuase she gave me a fluffy picture after I got depressed following a massive argument with an ex.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:36, archived)
# the website is for her and her partner, I believe
though I'm not sure if they both post here
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:58, archived)
# Ah....
The clouds have parted, the light shines down and I am enlightened. It all makes sense now.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 5:01, archived)
# Well what about
the guys who post their pictures? Lots of them do, and they don't get harassed.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:49, archived)
# .
I would
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:13, archived)
# hmm
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:19, archived)
# Phwoooooar!
*rubs thighs*
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:21, archived)
# ....
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:25, archived)
# Oh, you'll have to excuse me
I'm just tending to my wounds.
I fell down a flight of stone steps at university on monday and fucked my legs up something nasty.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:26, archived)
# Now
that really grapes my squildo.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:21, archived)
# Don't know if anyone is still monitoring this thread.
I think the above statement would have held true say 8-10 years ago when only nerds and geeks (mainly) had internet access, but nowadays the entire world and his wife is online. The BT/Yahoo guys are a long way in the past.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 9:13, archived)
# hehe
edit: these are rather spiffing
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:02, archived)
# hey, me too
what state are you in?
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:02, archived)
# The best--
California.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:04, archived)
# grrrr...
i am in Washington, dreaming of moving to California.
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 4:05, archived)
# hmmm...
there's a Mamas and the Papas song in there somewhere...
(, Sun 2 May 2004, 6:26, archived)
# Genius.
That made me laugh.
