My old school Rough Books were full of drawings of the Tripods. They rock. Especially the red ones with the lasers.

I had to find a tool to capture the RealMedia stream from the BBC website into an AVI, convert it to an MPG and then use some movie editing s/w to trim the clip I wanted.

Then I had to get another tool to turn the movie into a huge animated .GIF

Then manually remove all the superfluous frames by hand and then throw it thru Fireworks for the manual animation/optimisation.

Fun tho.
