its not necessarily down to shopping skills but hummus, and more people can have a go at that.
Don't knock it, it's only here for 7 days then another will come along.
Best advice is, if you don't like the compo, don't make any entries...

p.s. Bindun

p.p.s. High time we had another 'movie' based compo, those ones always get a good reception

Their Photoshop Phridays usually have something like mispelled movies and all that jazz.

# I think you'll find B3ta has been doing that since it started if you check the compo archives
its a mainstay of B3ta, and isn't nicked anywhere, in fact some other site's ideas have indeed, been nicked from here.

The B3ta compo used to be set on friday mornings up until a few months ago anyway

# that being said, it's lapses like that, which get accepted...
That have led to the 'text culture' speak...

As a freelance Lecturer, I despair at reading assignments where it is used.

# Imagine that, one million years from now,
the only thing that is saved from our civilisation is a copy of this website. The people living then will look upon our petty argument and call it "scripture". The world will fall into chaos and entire civilisations will be wiped out but every battle will be started by the faithful to the "Definately is correct" sect.

If we agree, right now, to only ever spell words in the correct manner millions of lives may be spared.

# me
well, "cares" is probably pushing it a bit. Really fucking irritates me though.
(, Fri 16 Jun 2006, 21:43, archived)
# I understand if they absolutely
butcher the word, but christ one bloody letter is nothing to complain about, especially when we still know word it is they are using.
(, Fri 16 Jun 2006, 21:46, archived)
# If someone writes me a letter, for instance
and it's riddled with mis-spellings, I take it as a personal affront that the person addressing me thinks so fucking little of my intelligence that they obviously think I won't notice it. It's insulting, it's rude, it's lazy - and it's totally fucking unnecessary, given the wealth of online and offline dictionary resources available today.
(, Fri 16 Jun 2006, 21:52, archived)
# I've actually been known to 'red pen' letters sent to me...
/marking the errors because I'm a Lecturer blog
(, Fri 16 Jun 2006, 21:54, archived)
# I agree whole-heartedly with that
if it's a letter, but when someone spells "Definitely" wrong on an online messageboard I find it harder to take it personally.
(, Fri 16 Jun 2006, 21:55, archived)
# Ooh crap
