# 1977
was a good year.
I was born, and on the same day, A 20.2-kg (44-lb.-9-oz.) lobster is caught off Nova Scotia (heaviest known crustacean).

Oh, and in agreement with Mr. Horrible, the 80's weren't that bad considering the 70's had refuse collection strikes, 3 day weeks, fuck all telly, power cuts and fuel shortages, and a wanky shitty Labour Govm't.

Being an 80's kid was quite good actually!

# Wow, the same as the 00's but with no Refuse strikes.
(, Sat 30 Dec 2006, 2:55, archived)
#
true.
mind you, they might as well be on fucking refuse strikes these days, seeing as they fucking refuse to collect the rubbish if your lid is open by over 0.007mm.

# At my house in Loughborough
I got told they wont collect it if they find something that you can recycle in your general refuse bin.

I mean, how much plastic waste to we make, and they insist on more even when you've put a box out?
