was a good year.
I was born, and on the same day, A 20.2-kg (44-lb.-9-oz.) lobster is caught off Nova Scotia (heaviest known crustacean).

Oh, and in agreement with Mr. Horrible, the 80's weren't that bad considering the 70's had refuse collection strikes, 3 day weeks, fuck all telly, power cuts and fuel shortages, and a wanky shitty Labour Govm't.

Being an 80's kid was quite good actually!

*awaits flames*

#
aha! the government will be the first fuckers in it, in say 20 - 30 years when we are being held to ransom by russian gas lords!
Mind you, we still have plenty of coal reserves left, pity we won't have any fucking skilled mine engineers to bring em back into service!
