I haven't watched Black Gold
But I want to, and I like this. I kinda figured Starsmucks wouldn't be much in to fair trade.

Wasn't very true to the books.
In the books they're all cartoony and shit.

I likes.
I'm in a pickle though.
As much as I like helping people in third world countries earn a living, I really do enjoy a nice coffee from Starbucks.

Oh?
Not that I'm doubting you, but do you have any material to back up your claims? I'd be very interested.

Lots and lots.
For a start you could look up fairtrade on wikipedia, but otherwise there is a lot of stuff about:

You are welcome.
I do not mind gross capitalism too much, but I get the rage when people use a false moral stance to sell an exploitative ideal as ethical.
FairTrade is evil.

FairTrade is evil.
I don't understand why
I need to consider the world's farmer. If they can't run a business properly and turn a profit then let someone who can do it. I don't care as long as my coffee is good. Who gives a fuck if my Douwe Egberts is Ethical? Not me, that's who.

That's fine.
It's pretending that you do give a fuck and then charging extra for lower grade coffee that pisses me off.
