Talking of T-shirts. I ordered four from the States a few days ago ($87). How likely is it that I'll have to pay duty/taxes on them when they arrive?

ven if it was a gift..nto sure what the exchange rate is currently but with a gift if the value is over £36 you pay duty. I think any way.

I used to order bunches of CDs from the US and occasionally they'd sting me. You might get lucky.

I hope I won't have to bother.

But it seems to be largely pot luck as to whether they bother.

I once got stung quite a lot for just one CD and yet much bigger and more expensive parcels have just slipped through.

Even with that it's still probably cheaper than buying them here. And they're damn cool shirts.
www.designbyhumans.com, if anyone's interested.
Edit: *eats last Ferrero Rocher*. Mmm. Best £1.05 I've spent in a while.

I bought a Popcorn Hour NMT for $224 inc postage (£120) and paid £33 in duty etc. Parcel force the robbing cunts will charge more.
I would guess about a tenner, I hope it's not too much I've just bought 4 t-shirts from the states as well.

You usually get away with it if it's one item, you might get stung for four though.
