# Go fer it!
15 pixels wide, 13 pixels high, they tend to look better if you limit your shades to 16 or under and a cartoon style outside line tends to help, don't do colour or animation.

# How are you so good at these?
Genuine question. Answer below.

# I have a very good eye for fine detail, and I used to do 16 bit sprites when I was young so I understand how you simulate smooth lines in very small pixel counts using shading, plus I've a good 'pick and peck' method,
essentially I start with a rough outline and solid block colour centre, then set pencil to block 1 pixel at 20% opacity and just use black and white 'paint' to raise or lower each pixels shade, then narrow the shades to 8 using posterize to simplify it a bit, then a bit more pick n peck, and so on...

My main difficulty is knowing when it's finished.

# this
i used to spend all my time designing sprites for video games that would never get made (multimedia fusion, anyone?) I think I'd have a spasm if I ever tried pixel art again, I spent so much time on that.

# Ooh! Nice.
What's the chance you'd let me use it as the Autorun icon for some corporate media? See if anyone twigs ;)
