# At least it was to the Bundesliga leaders
Better than those Romanian unknowns who stuffed Rangers at Ibrox yesterday. I'd be entertained except that the Old Firm still stuff the rest of the SPL on a regular basis.

# the Romanian league is placed 9th in the world standings

Scotland is something like 13th...we're a 4th world country compared to other leagues

# hmmm
this i didn't know, although given the current quality of the spl it doesn't come much as a surprise to me.

scottish football is in a depressing state. rangers and celtic might survive in a restructured 2-tier english premier league but if the rest of scotland followed them and we just had a british (or at least a scottish and english) league i think we'd see everyone else slumping into league 1 or 2. :(

though i saw a quote from hibs the other day about the whole moving to england ruckus. "and what about us? we're a big club too!" hahahahahahahahahahaha. the level of delusion is brilliant.

# Celtic and Rangers could easily survive in the English Prem given a few years to adjust
most english clubs would shit it
if Sky forced their hand and said
'Hey we'd actually like to see them both in the league', there wouldn't be much anyone could do about it

I'm sure we'd get a nice pick from all those great players out there with the added money.

# so far as i can tell
the "serious" proposal at the minute is a two-tier epl, with rangers and celtic starting in the second tier. i'd say they'd be around the level of villa and everton and spurs (when everton aren't getting their arses handed to them by benfica) -- which, this season, is doing better than liverpool are.

no guaranteed european football, which might be a problem, but certainly a much higher consistent standard of football. both are big clubs, i reckon they'd be in with the decent english clubs and they'd suddenly not get dumped into the championship.

hibs, hearts, aberdeen, dundee utd, st johnstone, st mirren, whoever the fuck is actually in the spl at the minute... no way. these guys are losing players to league one teams and that's where they'd end up. it's really quite sad, especially if you're not an old firm fan.

As a graduate of Lancaster and Liverpool unis, I can tell you that logo is based on the rather shit religious buildingy thing.
