I've often been tempted to attempt to make my own hot sauce... but I've not got around to it yet.

At this late stage of the growing process,
it's very important to mumble grossly offensive 'sexy' talk to your ginger in the wee small hours. In Mexican-accented Spanish. With a kind of Tom Waits gravelly timbre.
That's what Alan Titchmarsh says in this month's "Gardener's World" magazine, anyway.
