Actually, that article doesn't dispute the what, merely the how
They're still saying that the data was collected, analysed and used in very shady ways (e.g. voter suppression through "dark posts").
All that article says is that other organisations could have supplied the data, which is akin to complaining about the label on the bottle and not the contents.

It. Is. All. Bollocks.
He didn't win because the vote was suppressed. He didn't win because he knew more than Hilary (who was using exactly the same big data snake oil salesmen). He didn't win because a few shady billionaires were backing him (Hilary had plenty too).
His campaign had the square root of fuck all to do with analysing trends.
