Exactly
I am sure the common link is that they are racists which is the reason they voted for it rather than where they lived.
People should not attribute generalised characteristics of a few people onto all of a group of people based on where they live or were born.
I'm sure there is a word for when people do that, can't think of it right now.
Now I am also sure that not everyone who voted brexit is a racist, but I am pretty sure all the racists voted for brexit. I know some people who voted leave and while they may sometimes rant about jews when drunk I am sure that means nothing. If they were asked they would say they were not racist. They voted leave `so we would not be America's bitch any more`
Great, that has no chance of happening.
Some hilariously wanted to stick it to the tories, some were activists who just wanted a chance to do something, anything, so they decided to fuck things up for everyone else. One deluded bitch even voted leave because `jupiter was trine with Pluto so whatever I did would have been the right thing`.
Christ on a pogo stick, this is democracy, eh?
My anecdotal evidence suggests that leave voters were racists, or those stupid enough to be fooled by racists. Or astrologers, which is worse IMO. Would the vote still be respected if it were found that 2% were astrologers?
In a sane world, no.

Democracy
This is what you have here. Pick out the minority who vote for all sorts of bizarre reasons but the majority is what matters. Using anecdotal evidence and statements which include every person in a group ("all racists vote Brexit" or the implied meaning of "would the vote be respected if it were found that 2% were astrologers") are at best unhelpful and at worst just as bigoted - you make a good point in your second paragraph and then go against it in the rest if the post. Again, you just can't sweep everyone into one pile. That is the same thing the people you hate are doing.

So your suggesting removing the vote from those deemed not worthy of it?
