At first I imagined that I'd enjoy seeing a highly motivated nutter strapped to a steam powered contraption of his own devising, being propelled haphazardly across the Californian sky.

However I've concluded that however ridiculous (or arguably deserved) I still don't really want to watch a snuff movie.

He's planning on flying it a mile. Even if that's straight up then he'd still be better off buying a plane ticket as they typically fly five miles up. If you want to know what it looks like from a mile up then just go and stand on a mountain.
