The way crime is recorded has become so bad crime stats are almost certainly a poor representation of how much crime and knife crime there is. But the stats do show knife crime is rising. Hardly grinding axes to point out the person directly in charge for 7yrs might be a bit to blame. I wouldn't agree with him on is his solution however which is basically "more officers".

This is a normal post May has got a lot to answer for, particularly on knife crime.
As Home Secretary she demanded a reduction in stop and search and the data shows a direct correlation in the rise in knife crime. This is a point tubby could have made, but failed to. He's an angry rent a gob, and not a good one. In addition to more officers he also appears to want officers to get more involved in a social work type role. I think he should get more involved in a diet.
