I had a friend who received minimal input for two suicide attempts. Sadly, third time was the charm.
I've personally experienced mental health care and seen behind the scenes as an NHS employee... and in many, many cases it's shockingly inadequate.

I had a similar experience :-(
A girl od'd, got stomach-pumped, and out of hospital the next day. No surprise that she tried again a few weeks later.
