This is a question Redundant technology

Music on vinyl records, mobile phones the size of house bricks and pornography printed on paper. What hideously out of date stuff do you still use?

Thanks to boozehound for the suggestion

More Amiga
The greatest game I ever played was X-Com Enemy unknown on the Amiga A1200.
I was excited the other day to find a PC emulator version, but it was not nearly as good.

Does anyone know of an Amiga emulator version?
A bit off topic, but I would be using the old tech if I could

This might get you started in the right direction....
www.lemonamiga.com/help/faq_emulation.php

You will need the kickstart rom from somewhere, which you can a) Buy or b) Get from some abandonware sites. You will then also need the .adf file for X-Com- Enemy Unknown.

If i were you i would get the PC version. They have better effects (Night and day, better visuals, etc). I managed to pick up the boxset that had all the x-com games in it up to Interceptor. For me Enemy Unknown and Terror from the Deep are the winners....

Good luck in your hunt.

Enemy Unknown was
and is utterly brilliant but, still, no love for 'Apocalypse'? I loved that.

Try here
www.abandonia.com/en/game/Strategy/X-COM+Series

for the whole series for PC.

It runs quite nicely windowed.

xcom
Xcom fucking rocks. I so very nearly failed my GCSEs playing that game on my old 386.

I so very nearly failed my A-levels playing Carmadedon.
