I'll just ignore the whole rape glee as a misguided "yay i'm on b3ta" tasteless joke gone flat.
But I know several teachers in some tough schools, and they would love the chance to get the more violent little bastards chucked out. They often go after the teachers as well as other students, after all.

For all that, cunning use of non-bluff legal threats to protect your daughter was awesome, and I'm sure the teachers were as happy about it as anyone (until the tragic end, at least).
