This is a question Crap Gadgets

We wanted a monkey butler and bought one off eBay. Imagine our surprise when we found it was just an ordinary monkey with rabies. Worse: It had no butler training at all. Tell us about your duff technology purchases.

Thanks to Moonbadger for the suggestion

Poor Mr Jobs
Nobody deserves to suffer and die the way he did, not even a rapacious capitalist outsourcer who has cool ideas and turns them into nice shiny things with friendly intuitive interfaces.

He's now permanently bricked, just like my iPod Touch. May his memory stand as both inspiration to improve and to demand quality, and warning: - that no matter how much money and power you have, and no matter how many people like you, you're going to die one day, your detractors won't stop, and a funny gag at your expense is still funny even on the day you die.

Personally, I hope that people who've heard of me do tell jokes to make one another laugh at my expense once I'm dead, however off-colour they are. Steve Jobs wasn't entirely without a sense of humour as far as I know, so I dare say he'll be happier with a few gags amid the tears than with nothing but hagiography.

And if b3ta won't host such gags, who will?

I assure you, I will laugh on the day you die.

edit: That may be a bit harsh, I don't think i was even aware of you until now, but that just seemed to be the response your post was crying out for, and who am I to turn down the chance of a cheap joke.

Thanks. I think
It seems to me that those wishing for others not to cheapen the memory of a public figure with off-colour gags ought to be posting at the Fail's site and not b3ta

PS. Happy birthday to me, etc.

not to speak for Janet Aylia
but I'd be surprised if that was the reasoning. I think it's more the fear of dozens of crap, unoriginal jokes, rather than the fact of making jokes in itself.

At least, that's what will wind me up.
