Good for you, chickenlady.I realise how you need to be careful about getting with a man who turns out to be evil or something, but I think a lot of women - especially women who get a lot of attention - could be gentler about it.
Of course, the women who get a lot more attention would logically get more attention from arseholes as well as ordinary guys, so I can see how they might become over-defensive. But still.
