This is a question Driven to Madness

Captain Placid asks: What annoying things do significant others, workmates and other people in general do that drive you up the wall? Do you want to kill your other half over their obsessive fridge magnet collection? Driven to distraction over your manager's continued use of Comic Sans (The Font of Champions)? Tell us.

Some people don't know
how to walk on the pavement these days. Well it’s not that difficult, there’s hardly a whole host of ways. Here they come, love’s young dream, arm in arm, approaching me -- now, I’m not looking for your smile, I’m just asking for some single file... But it’s not forthcoming so I have to assume that this narrow path belongs to you and therefore you must be the Duke of Westminster and his good lady wife! So, I tell you what, I’ll just walk in the road... how about I just walk in the road... you stay as you are, and I’ll just walk in the road...

L'enfer? C'est les autres. Tous sauf M. Nigel Blackwell, bien sur.

When this happens to me
I just stop and tie my shoelace, blow my nose, pretend to look for something in my bag/pocket. Then they have to move.
Sometimes the cheeky feckers even tut because you have inconvenienced them.

This goes two ways for me
If they see me and try to make an effort, I'll go in the road.
If not, I'll just keep on walking. Do unto others, etc.

It's the same with cars. Someone in the wrong lane that indicates, looks and obviously made a mistake, in you come.
Soe fecker just jumping the queue, you'll have to wait.

I had life's wet dream walking towards me once
a couple hand in had with their child in between; in short the perfect happy, family scenario.

The guy looked at me with genuine hate when I didn't stand aside and they had to break up and part for me. Utter fucking spastic. I actually asked the guy if he had a problem at the time. I got no reply

I just move over to the side that is closest to the buildings
and therefore they have to walk in the road.
