Llowlands 2007
Was lovely, great bands, a bit cheaper than the UK festivals, and a bit safer, a 5g soft drugs limit, and most importantly, everyone was really nice.

I think the moment when I realised just how different the attitudes of our Dutch brethren are was when a bunch of English blokes were wandering along, one of them carrying a small section of those skinny tent poles you get. A charming young Dutch lady asked "Ooh, is that a magic wand jahh?", swivelling on his heel, and with a slight sneer, the fella with the tent pole replied "No! It's a hitting stick" and then proceeded to bash his mate in the head with it.

What's a "5mg soft drugs limit?"

Whoops
5g - duly edited. 5mg would be pretty stingy.

Basically, it's in Holland, and the organisers say that you can have up to 5g of the soft stuff, basically weed I think, per person.

That being said, I doubt anyone gave a fuck anyway, it was just nice to see that it told you how much weed you should bring on the website.

haha, i was at llowlands 2007 too
I got stopped by the entrygates and got led into security-area. They said it was a routine check for drugpossesion and if I would be so kind as to empty my pockets.

Now, I was wearing shorts with at least 6 pockets in them, but end up only showing my wallet and my id. Nobody really cared what was in the other 4 pockets.

... there wasnt anything in those pockets anyway, but thats not the issue :p
