This is a question Bizarre habits

Sandettie Light Vessel Automatic tells us: "Until I pointed it out, my other half use to hang out the washing making sure that both pegs were the same colour. Now she goes out of her way to make sure they never match." Tell us about bizarre rituals, habits and OCD-like behaviour.

Seen the bloke nextdoor
sweeping the top of his garden wall with a dustpan and brush.

Weirdo
He should use a handheld vacuum like the rest of us.

I'm worried this might not stop here.
In fact, I'm bricking it.

Would I be
Pointing out the obvious if I said?

My neighbours...
Clean the fecking ROAD where I live, I kid you not, with a yard brush and the pick it all up and put it in their garden rubbish bag. They only go as far as where our road meets another, but not only is that fecking weird, but I'm also jealous as I wish I had that much free time!

At the Century Hyatt in Shinjuku, Tokyo, they have attendants that vacuum the path outside the hotel, down to the roads (the driveway arcs across the junction at which the hotel sits). I was reminded of the Queen thinking the world smelt of fresh paint whenever I stayed in that hotel.

And then, if like me you wanted to avoid the sterility of a hotel environment, you'd head East, cut under Shinjuku train station (or around it, towards Kabukicho) and eat in a tiny little yakitori/sake shack, where the men stumbled outside and urinated against any and everything not moving. We called it Piss Alley for a reason.

Japan. Land of paradox. I love it.
