This is a question Pathological Liars

Friz writes, "I recently busted my mate who claimed to have 'supported the Kaiser Chiefs in 2001' by gently mentioning that they weren't even called that back then."

Some people seem to lead complete fantasy lives with lies stacked on lies stacked on more lies. Tell us about the ones you've met.

BTW, if any of you want to admit to making up all your QOTW stories, now would be a good time to do it.

One of my flatmates.
Is a massive liar. He claims he has never seen an episode of only fools and horses.
How is that possible? it must be bullshit.

There's a girl in the office; one of the seniors in an IT department as well...
...never seen a Star Wars film. EVER.

She must be taking the piss.

I wish
*I'd* never seen an episode of Only Fools and Horses. Classic comedy, my arse.

I've never seen
Mary Poppins, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, many Disney Films, or (and this is the point where my friends recoil from me in horror, as if I'm a leper) The Sound of Music.

I have no interest in seeing any of them.

when I went to uni...
I met about 6 people who'd never seen any Star Wars films. I was shocked.

also met someone who'd never seen Back to the Future.

How do these things happen?

People look at me funny...
...when I tell them I've never seen an episode of:

Lost
24
Sex and the City
Desperate Housewives
Heroes
X Factor/I'm a (failed) Celeb/Big Brother and all that bollocks.
Corrie/Deadenders/Emmerdale Farm-of-Carnage etc, or at least I do my best not to.

What? I haven't got that much time to watch TV :)

I've been exposed to Friends a good few times though - I don't think anyone can avoid that one forever.

EDIT: Bravo to the poster below for having dodged the oestrogen-soaked rubber dick-shaped bullet that was Dirty Dancing - I wish I had, along with that of the nightmare girlfriend that kindled my enduring hatred for it. Just say No, kids - reinforce the point with offensive weapons if you have to.

I never watch most of the progs mentioned here....
...but somehow I always know what's happening on them.

I know that on Chrimbo there's going to be some cockup with Stacey and a DVD with her and her father-in-law playing "Hide The Cracker", this couple are getting split up on Corrie who recently almost got married, Emmerdale has something going on with Marlon at the mo, Neighbours is doing a custody battle with someone's apparent son etc etc. I know all this because I wait by the telly until the wife fucks off to sleep just to get the Playstation on lol - Jeccy needs his Final Fantasy 12 fix :D

Batman & Robin episode
is NOT funny. Nor is Dell Boy falling through the bar. And the "One offs" when they had money were AWFUL.

I've never seen
back to the future

or the Breakfast Club

or Top Gun.

I think I may have spent the 80's in a coma. Actually judging by some of the hideous stuff I wore, I wish I had.

I've never seen a Star Wars film through...
I've sat down and tried but I just don't like it. o.o

My tuppenceworth
I've never watched most of the 'classic' films, although I have now seen the Sound of Music and the Wizard of Oz, as I made a point of watching them a couple of Christmases back just to say that I had.

As for television - soaps, reality stuff, most sport, in fact most popular programmes I rarely or never watch. The only things I make a point of watching on telly are The Bill (yeah, I know, but I've watched it for 20 odd years) and Formula 1, because I've followed it for 20 odd years too.

Never have time to watch anything else. As for films - no chance.

Just to get onto this bandwagon ....
... I've never seen a James Bond film. I have however seen Our Man Flint AND In Like Flint. That's possibly why I've never seen Bond - how could they possibly stack up against the world's greatest super spy ?
