This is a question Lies that went on too long

When you lie you often have to keep lying. Share your pain. When I was 15 I pretended to be 16 to help get a summer job. Then had to spend a summer with this nice shopkeeper asking me everyday if I was excited about getting my GCSE results. I felt like an utter shit. Thanks to MerseyMal for the suggestion.

Ha. Just about the right balance of fame and obscurity,

I went on a trip to Cardiff with my works football team and we all pretended to be Brighton & Hove Albion. I don't really know why we bothered lying to Cardiff girls mind you, there's not really any need.

Same here
a Malibu and Pineapple did the trick anyway.

Wonder if she ever checked, and found out the drummer from simple minds is rather a lot darker than I am.

I like to watch you all suffer.

Obscurity vs fame - reminds me
A friend once blagged his way into one of Elton John's LA parties by phoning the publicist as the trumpet player from Simply Red. Didn't believe him until I saw the pics.
