This is a question The nicest thing someone's ever done for me

In amongst all the tales of bitterness and poo, we occasionally get fluffy stories that bring a small tear to our internet-jaded eyes.

In celebration of this, what is the nicest thing someone's done for you? Whether you thoroughly deserved it or it came out of the blue, tell us of heartwarming, selfless acts by others.

Failing that, what nice things have you done for other people, whether they liked it or not?

luton
Is a complete dump . My flatmate had her car stolen from there, 2 friends of mine randomly got attacked in daylight. When i worked for the electricity board parts of it were no go areas at night unless with a police escort and in daytime 2 prefreable 3 people must attend. DO NOT GO THERE

It is a pit.
I grew up there and have now escaped. When visiting my family, I go armed.

I grew up near there.
My choices for a local cinema were Bedford (and a long walk across town) or Luton.

I started prefering the walk across Bedford after getting trapped in the cinema at Luton by the police, who were dealing with a mob of boozed up football idiots from the pub across the road.

I've only driven through the place on my way to somewhere else
But my god, I was glad to be out the other side...
