It's all going on house renovation at the moment
Next year will be the big guitar year. Gonna splurge on something really spesh.
I've actually recently discovered how brilliant Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers are. Not new, I know, but new to me.

Well I'm budgeting myself up to that
Hence 'big guitar year'. Certainly couldn't do it every year. Would, but can't.

Not sure yet
The list is massive. I'm going to go shopping later on this year and start making a decision. I'm leaning towards a Les Paul custom of some description, but therein lies the game.
I'm hearing good things about Suhr, so I ought to try some of their stuff. PRS too.

I want to set myself an upper limit of 5k
But that could go on one awesome thing, or a couple of nice things. I'm looking forward to trying everything to be honest.
There's a shop in Bath that does some lovely vintage stuff, so I'll certainly visit them again.

It's taken me YEARS to a) get the money and b) convince the missus to let me spend it
And it'll be the last time in a really long time I imagine, so I need to choose carefully.

I like a vintage guitar personally
I prefer the Gibson hollow bodies to a heavy old Les Paul.

with an almost perfectly clear line of vision
but there is almost always some reflection or mark which reminds you that there is a window there

Glass is see through because the molecules are all higgle-de-piggledy
rather than being in a repeating pattern, this is why "liquid metal" can be both metallic and see through because the molecules aren't aligned.
