Without getting too Geeky, it could have done without Hawkeye pretty much all the way through, apart from him being needed to really make it 'The Avengers'. And, in a non spoilery way, the big bads could have done with being a little more distinctive and threatening. But Loki was fantastic, Ruffalo showed it's possible to make an interesting character out of The Hulk, the dialogue was cracking, the Black Widow interogation scene was amazing and the whole film was properly funny. Oddly it does seem like we have the same problems with it, but I liked it in spite of them and for you it seems they took away from the rest.

It's too late to try not to get too geeky now.
That happened way back in this conversation.

to me it seems that the diffference in abilities between the chararcters makes the more human ones redundant
surely a gu with a bow and arrow could'nt kill a robot super weapon?

That's why he is great, like batman. He kicks ass without powers.
Although Nolan says batmans superpower is his cash, which I like.

Maybe I wanted/expected too much? They need to do four hour movies with a break in the middle.

I still can't believe the best comedy moments of the film all come from Hulk
