I have a dumb question.
If a circle goes round something else, it's called a ring. Is there a word that means the same as 'ring' for a square that goes round something? Or is it still a ring?

Am I being really stupid?

'Oxford Street, Regents Street, Piccadilly and Charing Cross Road form a frame around Soho'.

Bugger, that might actually work.
