I mostly agree
A lot of Cambridge has extra-wide pavements, for pedestrians and cyclists, which are mostly ignored by the cycling population, and that really pisses me off.

However, and this is especially true in London, some cycle lanes are in such poor condition (broken up tarmac, stopping and starting in the most bizarre places etc) that one has no choice but to ride in the road instead, otherwise one's bike will be completely knackered.

Moreover, the amount of drivers that park in cycle lanes is huge, so cyclists have to keep swinging round them, into the road.

This might well be one of my peeves when I get round to posting...
