People talking bollocks

There are certain words and phrases that really piss me off:

(1) People offering to give more than 100% effort to a task. The fact that this is impossible shows up how much hot air they are talking "I'll give this task 110%, no 150%". Anyone who has had the misfortune to watch the apprentice will know what I mean. I'd settle for people who do this giving close to 100% effort to raping (with a rake) then murdering themselves.

(2) "Proactive" People who use this should be hanged, drawn and, quartered; I hate them.

(3) Other stupid phrases such as "think outside the box" what the fuck does that actually mean??

Hmm..
"Proactive" has its uses.

I mainly use it in a contrasting sense, for example comparing a proactive police force (one that attempts to stop crime occurring) to a reactive one (one that attempts to catch criminals after the crime has occurred).

The rest, though, I hate. Anything more than 70% effort dedicated to a single task is excessive.

do we say "anti-active" ... NO!
NO NO NO! the opposite of reactive is, quite simply, "active" nothing 'pro' about it, no need for any extra embellishment.
Stupid bastard word made up to sound like the obvious bollox some management gurus were serving up for a fat fee was all shiny and new, bah!

aaaand .... relax :)
