This is a question What's the hardest you've tried to get dumped?

Groovypoodle writes, "My mate once told his girlfriend that he didn't think it was working only for her to laugh and tell him he was hilarious. Saying she was 'too weird' and 'slightly violent' and that he didn't like her was equally hilarious. Ripping off her wing mirror, throwing it through the windscreen
and storming off in a huff merely generated an apology from her a week later..."

Just how hard have you had to work to get someone to take the hint and stay dumped?

My hint is: don't hint
I don't even know if I have any decent stories for this week.

When it isn't working I say: "Look, it isn't working, can it be made better? No? Okay, let's call it all off".

When they say the same, or drop hints to the same, I think: "Oh ok, I have some dignity, I'll walk away and not make his life hell".

I'm friends with the majority of my ex-blokes. I liked them enough to be with them in the first place. The others were cunts.

I don't have one-night-stands, I don't play mind-games and I'm completely open about what's going on in my head. Bizarrely, in some fellas' eyes that makes me all sorts of evil.

Fuck me, I'm well-adjusted.

@Kaol
If your tongue's as fast as your fingers, and going by the epic flirt I spotted last night it's mercury silver, how are you possibly single?

yeah
there have been psychos. Like the stalky one with the gun... They're the ones whose number you keep in your phone because it might help the police as evidence.

"If your tongue's as fast as your fingers, and going by the epic flirt I spotted last night it's mercury silver, how are you possibly single?"

Because I'm cripplingly ugly :p

What she said up the top there.

Yes. Mind-games are mean*. If I like you I will tell you. If I don't then I will tell you that too but in a nice way that will make you hate me for being too nice to hate for dumping you in a bad way.

Sex games are fun

If you don't want to be dumped (or are turned down), it's going to hurt you regardless so they've got the impossible task of not causing pain. If they really care, they'll find themselves in a no-win situation. I've learned to respect anyone who speaks their mind in such matters regardless of how numb I end up feeling inside.

^precisely
No one wants to hear that they're being dumped, just as no one wants to be the dumper either. They both suck in different ways. Being direct and unambiguous is the only sensible path through it.

hot damn..
I wish my fiancee's ex was more like you! She doesn't appear to have the 'Oh ok, I'll walk away and not make his life hell' sentence in her vocabulary. Psycho bitch.. *bitter rant*

Sadly it seems to be too much to ask...
...that everyone be like this.

Have a click for being a decent human being though.

If I hadn't recently aquired a girlfriend *
You'd be receiving my CV embossed on gold leaf. Luckily for my wallet, I'm very happy. **

Edit: It's not gold-embossed, but have a click!

* Sorry for rubbing it in to anyone who's single and doesn't want to be

** Really, really sorry

Agreed
there's not many of us around but it pisses me off that some girls spoil the good men for us!

i don't see the point in messing round or playing games or any of that shite but i see so many nice blokes taken in a living with all that crap and it sucks!
