This is a question Screwed over by The Man

We once made a flash animation for a record company. They told us it was brilliant and 30 staff gave us a round of applause. They asked us to stick it out without their name on it. Then their legal department sent us a cease and desist for infringing their copyright. How have you been screwed over?

I'm calling bullshit
because hidden recordings without consent are not admissable in these types of cases. That and the fact £10 spy pens that record video and sound don't fucking exist

And I call: COCK

Okay so I was a fiver out on the cost but it was a present so I've never seen a receipt.

It never went to court (as I believe I said) so all I had to do was get them to deny they said anything on the tape and as due process was not followed, as counter evidence, it becomes admissable as I was not allowed representation.

Seriously, what do I have to gain by making this up? If I was going to make it up I'd of got caught shagging the bosses wife on his desk whislt wearing a John Major mask shouting "I fucking love eggs me, love em".

Hmm I thought it a bit weird too
A similar thing happened to a mate of mine. He was being forced out of the company illegally and managed to record the boss admitting as much(on a dictaphone thing iirc, no spy cameras or owt).

When he tried pulling it in was told by the company legals that it was 'entrapment' and that his 'evidence' was inadmissable in any court or tribunal because the boss could have be led into making the statement and that there were no credible witnesses. Basically they told him 'Give it your best shot, you havent got a fucking chance'

Just sayin' like

So the legal representative of the people he was trying to get money from told him not to bother...and he followed their advice?

That's not entirely true. If the recording countered a false statement entered as evidence by the company, or proved discrimination it could be accepted.

Exactly.
I thank you.
