This is a question Sexism

Freddie Woo tells us: Despite being a well rounded modern man I think women are best off getting married and having a few kids else they'll be absolutely miserable come middle age.

What views do you have that are probably sexist that you believe are true?

I can mention one that I DON'T think is true
Male nurses.

In one of my nursing classes, somebody mentioned that men shouldn't be nurses, because women 'might get embarrassed'.

What about the men who have to deal with female nurses washing their bits?! I know this doesn't happen all the time, what with male nurses, auxiliaries and care assistants, but how the fuck would a male nurse be any less caring and efficient?! I have been at the mercy of a few male nurses, and they were brilliant. And of some fucking terrible female nurses, like my last op. I've complained to the hospital, they were that fucking bad.

When I was in the hospital
last week, they didn't have a female auxilliary to take me shower (head injury) so had a guy aux with me. He stood outside the curtain, though

Male nurses
can be brilliant. I had two wonderful male nurses, one of whom had the sickest, most twisted sense of humour ever and used to cheer me up amazingly by telling me jokes. Yes it was embarassing, but a nurse regardless of gender can make a difference in treatment. Plus if you're ill enough you genuinely don't care

Male Nurses
Anyone that thinks all men are somehow unable to be both caring and professional is a twat.

I have a theory
that they encourage the nurses with the worst people skills to become theatre nurses. Most nurses I have had to deal with have been lovely people, excepting the theatre nurses who have been somewhere between aspergian and twunts.

had an ex with hydrocephalis
which means lots and lots of ongoing brain surgeries. he had a male nurse whip out his catheter so quickly and roughly it caused permanent damage. wouldn't you think a male nurse would be more careful with another man's penis? :(

I know an awesome male nurse
who is also a bigger girl than most girls I know.
