This is a question Shoplifting

When I was young and impressionable and on holiday in France, I followed some friends into a sweet shop and we each stole something. I was so mortified by this, I returned them.

My lack of French hampered this somewhat - they had no idea why the small English boy wanted to add some chews to the open box, and saw it as an attempt by a nasty foreigner oik to contaminate their stock. Not my best day.

What have you lifted?

Pen fetish
Working in IT we often go to peoples desks (myself and 2 colleagues). We make it a priority to get pens from as many people as possible and we list who and how many in our assets spread sheet. The rules are we have to be actually helping someone and can't take them from each other.

Length? Better than the girth I tells ya!

wait..
..you keep a bloody spreadsheet to record how many pens you've stolen?

I'm not sure if that's the geekiest thing I've ever heard or the most amusing.

When I was on holiday with my friends a few years ago
We took a laptop along with us* and kept a spread sheet as to how many poo's we had each done every day, the person with the highest overall dump total at the end of the week won. It was actually quite interesting because on the nights we had curry the following day had a vast increase in the average number of poo's. I have to say looking back I have to ask myself why on earth we even considered doing it!

*We didn't actually take the laptop with this intention in mind initially.

spreadsheet
of course he keeps a spreadsheet on how many pens he has stolen, when you work in IT you have to find something to fill out the day!
