This is a question Teenage Crushes - Part Two

Freddie Woo writes: I've still got weird feelings for a well-known female TV presenter from the 1980s. I'm now in my forties, work in the same building as her and she follows me on a number of social networking sites. And now, she knows about it.

Tell us about the teenage crushes that still make you go wobbly.

Oh I've just thought of another
Emily - the 18yo girl I had a crush on when I was about 5 - I recently found out is a lesbian.

This upsets me as she will now be in her late 40s, so not really a proper lesbian any more.

How is she not a real lesbian anymore?
Do lesbians have a shelf life in your world then?

Yup, silly
'lesbian' means 'pretty young woman who messes around naked with another pretty young woman to amuse men.'

Of course!
How silly of me to forget that...must be the old age getting to me.

Exactly
once they reach 30, they become dykes.

Ah - I shall mind the piss.

'Dykes'? For little boys to stick their fingers in?
Or do you mean 'dikes'?

All the lesbians I know spell it with a Y.

(, Thu 12 Nov 2009, 8:05, closed)
Because she'll be old and not physically attractive any more.
Therefore she will just be a dyke.

or
a hasbian.

This
I like.

I'm ashamed to admit it...
...but that had me giggling like a schoolgirl. You bad man.
