Sounds familiarI once had a small bump, got out to have a look at the damage and found none at all on the other vehicle, the other driver didn't ask for any contact information so we just went our separate ways.
Owner of other vehicle later claimed the bumper was badly dented and the accident had occurred miles from anywhere I'd been on that journey. I'm not sure why they bothered to take down the numberplate and then try to claim for a DVLA search rather than just asked when I spoke to them. Cunt. Always take photos, especially if there is nothing to see.
