This is a question Workplace Boredom

There's got to be more to your working day than loafing around the internet, says tfi049113. How do you fill those long, empty desperate hours?

Pegging
One of my workfriends devised a game whilst drunk at a house party involving clothes pegs.. he waited for his mates to pass out and then placed clothes pegs on them, then waited for them to find them.
At xmas time our workload in the lab goes down and we get bored easily, so one trip to the pound shop later and we started "pegging" our work colleagues.

Once everyone knows about the game it becomes a good way of inducing paranoia as everyone becomes afraid to turn thier backs on each other for more than a split second

the rules are simple.
place a peg on one of your colleagues whilst they are distracted.
don't get caught.

initially it was easy as they weren't expecting it, it has now become so wide spread that everyone is at it, (admittedly it has died down now the work has picked up)

It was quite satisfying when one of them had three pegs on her lab coat for about 3 hours without noticing until someone from outside the department asked what the pegs were about. Thinking they were refering to the peg in her pocket she explained. The reply came
"not that one those three on your back"

ARGHHHH Pegging
There has been an epidemic of pegging at music and juggling festivals over the last few years.

The nicest kind of pegging is where people write something thoughtful on the pegs.

Most of it's just straightforward pegging though theres plenty of skill and tactics.
You can pluck someones t-shirt then after they have checked to see if they've been pegged you then peg them.
Chain pegging - where you see how many pegs you can add onto the end of the first peg.
Sacrifice pegging - where you pretend not to notice you are being pegged, then quickly remove it and peg the pegger as they slip away.
Remote pegging - where you join several pegs in a special way, then throw them at someone in the hope that one catches.
Depegging - where you remove a badly done peg and peg somebody else with it.

So pegging both good and bad. It can be fun and creative or it can fall into the same kind of bullying that had the same kid walking about school every day with either goz on his back or a testube holder hanging from there blazer.

Am I the only one
that thought this was going to be about something completely different?

Lab coat Peggin
Works well when the victim is sitting on a chair.
Just peg the tails of the lab coat together around the back of the chair.
When they arise, much hilarity ensues. And they tend to go base over apex as the chair launches itself upon their back.
