I applied for a summer job as a lab technician in a dye company.
Today, I got a letter saying that although I was not among those being interviewed, they'd be keeping my details in case any suitable jobs became available in the future.
How likely is this to be true, do you reckon? Bearing in mind that I've finished two years of a chemistry degree and have pretty much straight firsts at the moment.

I don't know why I bother to be honest
maybe I shouldn't aim so high.

Well, pardon me for getting annoyed at having precisely fuck-all success on the career front over the last year
and working my arse off for no reward in an education system geared towards the mediocre.

I saw a PROPER emo on the bus today.
Hair all short-and-spiky up one side, eye-covering floppy fringe on the other (all dyed black), crappy studded neck collar, skinny black tee-shirt with a skull on it, spray-on black jeans, bright pink belt, and bright green chequerboard canvas plimsoles.
He looked like an utter dick.

No, I just of sneered at him.
But he couldn't see, because of his fringe.
He probably wasn't an 'emo' at all, he was just a trendy sub-goth hipster twat.

It's to facillitate the lube-free bumming they so obviously deserve.

Originally worn by american gangs
to honour comrades in prison, where they are not allowed belts or jeans that vaguely fit.
So when the inmates saw pictures of their friends, they knew the guys on the outside where thinking of them. For some reason it took off as a fashion item amongst lower life forms.

Haha, I saw a simiar chap around my way,
except on the back of his t-shirt, it had lyrics for some kind of metal/rock/emo/whatever band.
It read something like.
To the darkness i've lied,
my only friend has just died,
Nobody loves me and I cryed
a thousand tears 'till I ...ermmm... donno.
I'm sure wearing shirts of musical groups was 'cool' when I was five, but seriously, its not for an adult... unless it has something really whitty on it, like "I PWN U".

If it had said literally what you've just written,
it'd actually be quite good.

This
I got nothing for 2 months, decided to rewrite my CV and spent a good day perfecting it,then the responses and interviews flowed in. And following that I went to my first interview and got a great job.
Sorted.

General layout and presentation...
(It seems adding a blue line here or there does wonders)...coupled with rewording everything, no lies, just avoided negative sounding words or phrases and I removed more than I added in the end.
It's difficult to explain without having a before and after set of copies.
