b3ta online PC gaming site

What do you think of having a b3ta based online gaming website/community?

Nothing serious like clan battles etc, just a group of pisslike minded people playing online games together.

It would be forum based, and people could choose to open up their own clans if they liked.

I know there's already one for Counterstrike, but I was thinking of an overall online gaming community, which covers a large number of games.

Not a bad idea.
Hopefully it might have a FAQ which explains why Star Wars Battlefront, while looking very pretty, is the dullest waste of money on the planet.
(, Fri 8 Oct 2004, 12:42, archived)
agreed
Graphics are terrible, and it's as playable as a piece of shit on string.
(, Fri 8 Oct 2004, 12:44, archived)
The one player mode is so DULL.
There seem to be all of about 12 maps in the whole game.

Not to mention the fact you have no overall tactical control AT ALL. "Alright my other 199 troops, I'll storm this command post on my own shall I? Nice one."
(, Fri 8 Oct 2004, 12:45, archived)
pfft!
it's funny cos its true
(, Fri 8 Oct 2004, 13:10, archived)
To save waiting for this FAQ to be written, would you care to elaborate?
I kind of lost interest in games 2 years ago and dont play anymore or buy magazines.
(, Fri 8 Oct 2004, 12:44, archived)
It's just a bit wank.
Nice idea, but it needs more to it. The multiplayer is only marginally more satisfying than the single player.
(, Fri 8 Oct 2004, 12:46, archived)
Oh right.
I live in fear of good games coming out. I may actually buy one, get addicted, fail my degree and drive my girlfriend away by ignoring her to play it 24/7. During my 1st year at uni, multiplayer Warcraft 3 almost cost me dear with 24hr gaming sessions. And Vice City came out a week before my exams. That was messy.

San andreas and HL2 are coming out soon
They should be very good :)
(, Fri 8 Oct 2004, 12:50, archived)
You sir, are a rogue and no mistake.

Argh!
I once played Red Alert 2 for more than 48hrs, only stopping to heat pizza and watch Evil Dead 2. I looked like an extra from the film by the time the ordeal was over.
(, Fri 8 Oct 2004, 13:22, archived)
You can kill them jar jar bastards
after that, there isnt much reason to play it.
(, Fri 8 Oct 2004, 12:45, archived)
sounds about right
ah fuck it I still subscribe to Pc zone
Even though I cant afford all the lovely shiny new ones
so the reveiw of HL2 made me sad
(, Fri 8 Oct 2004, 12:51, archived)
I think I need to upgrade for that aswell
I wonder how much money I could get selling my arse.

(, Fri 8 Oct 2004, 13:12, archived)
Not for me but weren't people talking about it the other day?

Incidentally, has anyone played Postal 2? It's great! Take peoples heads off with your spanging shovel.
(, Fri 8 Oct 2004, 12:42, archived)
yeah
Its not the best game but its good for abit of senseless violence.
(, Fri 8 Oct 2004, 12:46, archived)
Exactly - not exactly difficult or taxing on the brain
but as far as mindless violence goes it's marvellous.
(, Fri 8 Oct 2004, 12:48, archived)
Good idea.
I play UT2004.
(, Fri 8 Oct 2004, 12:44, archived)
I was thinking of listing the following popular PC games
UT2004
Call Of Duty : United Offensive
Halo

What others do you think I should list?

They need to be quite popular or else it's pointless.
(, Fri 8 Oct 2004, 12:49, archived)
Counterstrike

(, Fri 8 Oct 2004, 12:52, archived)
All I play online is UT2004. The rest can get to fuck.

(, Fri 8 Oct 2004, 12:49, archived)
I am jealous of nothing
I just wanted to remind you that you are a cunt...
(, Fri 8 Oct 2004, 12:53, archived)

(, Fri 8 Oct 2004, 12:49, archived)
ummmmmm yes
Try googling badger b3ta and counterstrike together.

I've seen it before somewhere
(, Fri 8 Oct 2004, 12:50, archived)
I'm in,
although this may depend on me purchasing some more games and getting good at them.

UT2004 is as fas as i've got at the minute.

edit: would make a change on the message front at least- instead of 'omfg! you noob!!' i'm much rather see 'haha! cocknobber!'
(, Fri 8 Oct 2004, 12:52, archived)
"stop team killing you badger fucking twunt"
I believe, I'm onto a winner here!
(, Fri 8 Oct 2004, 13:00, archived)
Sounds good to me.
If you're needing a forum, I've got phpBB on my server if you'd like to use it.
