most trivial of reasons, but the smoking ban did it for me, not the expenses. The only work place in the whole of the country you can still legally smoke in is the House of Common bar. Tell me again how you are our servants, and don't see yourselves as more important than us plebs.
EDIT; this wasn't a smoking ban rant. See also MPs can use bus lanes- doctors can't. Firemen, paramedics on their way to work can't. if there is a traffic jam, they are late for work. Might cost your Mothers life because of that. But at least the MPs will be on time for quango meetings.

basically their shit handling of the pensions crisis that left many working people destitute after the their companies collapsed taking their pensions with them. I'm not saying the Tories would have done any better, but when Jackie Smith writes in our local paper on how we should all be thankful to Labour when they finally launched an inquiry into it (after many men who should be retired are currently working themselves into an early grave, marriages breaking due to stress, and several suicides) it's pretty hard to bear. Then we hear about all the money wasted and the MP expenses...I have little faith in any of them.
I'd vote for a party that would legally ringfence people's pension contributions and ban companies from using them as assets.
