# err sort off - they don't do that type any more and the cheapest
one that sony sell new is anout £350... flatmate works in the sony centre.

erm, the model i've actually been offered is the DCR-TRV145 which is current and everywhere seems to sell it for about £280 online ... commet have got it for getting on for 400 notes though :-/

So i guess the price isn't bad, but does the camera suck?

you've probably seen how I've treated it. Mine is a TVR110E though... I guess an older model.

The tapes are cheaper, that is all I know.
