Mind - I suppose with the increasing regression of Western culture towards a more childish approach to life and consumerism, many could be forgiven for treating them as toys.

A lot of people do buy them for the fashion status, but often it makes no difference to these people whether they have Windows or OSX so they would naturally choose based on something more important to them, i.e. fashion
