... I think there's a reason H. R. Giger designed the facehuggers like that... WiL even refers to particularly awful (subjective) examples as 'Facehuggers.'

I think that for many humans, arachnophobia is a genetic memory, based on some similar looking (possibly related) predator from our past lineage... possibly before we evolved into mammals...

And they will carry me off under the skirting board.... put me in a cacoon ....... paralyze me..... and lay babies inside me .....but I would be awake for the whole thing....

...my mum once noticed a strange noise in her ear but thought nothing of it (she has a perforated ear drum). About an hour later a spider crawled out of her ear canal.
