# Aaaaaah,

# Yeah, I actually did see and appreciate Enchanted
It's always surprising for me when Disney pokes a little fun at themselves.

Side note: I used to frequent a particular karaoke bar in Los Angeles and Amy Adams came in one night. She sang a Luther Vandross song and it was mesmerizing.

# You could argue, or I'm about to,
that really rather than simply taking the piss out of themselves pre '80s, they were in actual fact making a point about the general difference between the childhood/teen belief in magic and love, and older more adult cynicism about life and everything in general, especially other people, whom we always predict the worst about once we're over 35/40 ish and have been burnt a few times thru trust, love and generosity, and therefore equally sneer at Disney style childish celebrations of such.

The princess was the 'hero's re-discovery of his childhood beliefs that he lost through experience of this shitty immediate world that he learnt to be angry and hateful about in order to survive in it. In other words, they're showing we all wish the world was like classic Disney cartoons really, we just know it isn't, once we get older and 'wiser', but surely it could be if we all just decided to, and accepted people can be nice without ulterior motive, if we just let them be.

Of course, that would mean if that became the norm, that Chav's would then rule the earth, by their simple anti social cuntism, which is why we can't have nice things...

# You made me want to watch Hook
and what's this "over 35/40ish" business... I've still got at least a few years until I'm in my mid-30s!

:P

There is much validity in your thought process, though.
