I've always said that if the Tories hadn't been such pussies about Europeand they'd stuck Heseltine/Clarke up against Blair/Brown after 1997 they'd have had the government back by 2001, and they'd have made a decent hash of it, too. I mean, William Hague? Seriously? Who the fuck would vote for Hague?
