red dead redemption was oki think they did a great job with the look of the game, but the missions were too damn repetitve, and what was up with the multiplayer, you end up just running from hideout to hideout trying to level up.

Yeah the missions weren't that versatile, although it wasn't all shooting.Look at all the side missions, hunting etc, EPIC imho.

yeah, i think i enjoyed the side missions more than the story missionsi finished it 100%, decent enough game, this upcoming L.A. Noir looks interesting, although i doubt it will have anything on gta5 when it's released.

100% here too, loved every minute.LA Noire is a day one purchase for me, along with Brink.
It most certainly won't live up to GTA4 heights, but it's something different.

it will be fab in it's own right no doubtbut i do prefer the gta series, especially for it's cutscenes dialogue and acting, it's fucking exceptional and a joy to watch, same goes for red dead redemption, i was blown away with the whole feel of the game through the cutscenes.

i'm not sure about that to be honest.but they do always base certain missions on parts of a movie or throw a load of references from movies and/or books, that's another thing i like.
