The one I always remember is the final scene at the end of the first episode of 'The Ark in Space', the bit where Harry opens a cupboard and the big insecty thing comes out... cut to end credits. That had me absolutely cacking myself as a kid, so much so that I didn't watch the rest of it at the time, even though I knew it wasn't real and it was just a rubber suit. Looking at the CGI stuff now, there isn't anything I think would have had the same effect on me.
