I remember when I was a student I got a final demand from the gas board. We had a key meter.On top of that they threatened to cut is off it we didn't pay the amount in full. So I went up to the British Gas shop (yes it was in the days when such things existed), showed the woman at the counter the final demand, the amount due, I put 2p on the counter, told her to keep the change and marched right out.
