Maybe I'm not the only one who cringes (spoiler alert)at having wept over that scene. Losing his imaginary friend makes getting off the island such a low point for him. Odd film, after that his affect was pretty flat, it was like an exploration of how bad it can get and still not destroy you, then nothing much really does get back home (yeah the package but still).
